It was some time last month that the launch and shipping date of the latest fitness tracker from Fitbit, known as the Fitbit Charge, were revealed. Hence, for those who have been hankering after the Fitbit Charge all this while but never really managed to get the opportunity to do so, fret not – the company has officially announced that the Fitbit Charge has begun to ship, being stocked up properly across various retail stores.
If you do not mind the lack of color choices, then it should be all right to know that only the black colored Fitbit Charge is made available at the moment. Just to recap, the Fitbit Charge does come with the following features, including being able to track the number of steps taken accurately, apart from the distance traveled, calories burned and floors climbed. There will be a bright OLED display that will depict the current time as well as real time statistics, while automatic sleep detection capability lets it monitor your sleep quality using motion analysis so that it can better understand your sleep and wake times; with a silent, vibrating alarm waking you up gently.
You can also tell just who is calling you at that point in time with Caller ID, as the wristband itself will vibrate as it depicts the incoming caller’s name or number. With up to 7 days of battery life and support for Windows Phone, Android and iOS platforms, the Fitbit Charge sounds to be a decent present to find under the Christmas tree this year.
