Ematic EWT716 Hits The FCC
Ematic is a name that some of us might be familiar with, especially when one deals with plenty of hugely affordable Android-powered tablets. Well, it does look as though the company is heading into a slightly different direction – they are about to dip their toes into the world of Windows tablets, which ought to be an interesting proposition taking into consideration how the number of available Windows-powered tablets in the market that are affordable enough for the masses aren’t exactly high. Hence, just like any other “obedient” consumer electronics device that is set to be sold, it has to pass through the approval of the FCC, which is what the Ematic EWT716 went through over the past week.
The Ematic EWT716 was spotted with a 7” display, where it is powered by an Intel Atom processor alongside Windows 8.1 as the mobile operating system of choice. Of course, there are also other players out there already with Windows-powered tablets of the 7” variety, Toshiba and HP included.
The 7” IPS display on the Ematic EWT716 comes with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution count, as it runs on a quad-core Intel Atom 1.3GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, front and back cameras, a micro USB port and a microSD memory card slot, with a 2,800mAh battery powering it.
