Back in November of 2013, Verizon unveiled a tablet of their own called the Ellipsis 7. Well given that it’s been one year later, we guess we can’t say we’re too surprised to learn that Verizon has a successor planned in the form of the Ellipsis 8. While Verizon has yet to officially announce the tablet, a page dedicated to the tablet has been spotted on Verizon’s website.
According to the specs page, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 will feature an 8-inch display as its name seems to suggest. It will sport a HD display which is a bit disappointing, but then again you get what you pay for sometimes. Under the hood, the Ellipsis 8 does not seem to be a slouch. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and will come with a 5MP rear-facing camera, LTE support, and a decently sized 5,000mAH battery.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 also appears to be ready for order which is surprising since there was not much fanfare regarding its announcement. In any case those interested can pick up the tablet for themselves for $150 with a new two-year contract with the carrier. Alternatively if you’d rather not be bound by contracts and would prefer the freedom of choice, the Ellipsis 8 can be bought at its full price of $250.
