Bungie’s Destiny was one of the most highly anticipated games in 2014. Publisher Activision pumped $500 million in this game and managed to recover it on the first day of sales. The game has seen considerable success ever since it was released a couple of months back and now in a bid to attract those who might be on the fence about it, Bungie has decided to offer the Destiny demo free on all consoles.
The demo experience will offer a sampling of character creation and progression. There will be story mission content as well, along with various social and cooperative activities. Thus gamers will be able to get a true idea of what Destiny is like, without having to pay anything for it.
On PlayStation its referred to as the Destiny Trial whereas on the Xbox it is called Destiny Demo. They’re available across both console lines starting today, requiring 20GB of disk space on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, 6GB of space on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
If gamers like what they experience then they will be able to purchase the full version of Destiny after they’re done with the demo experience. Bungie confirms that they will be able to transfer their character progression in the same console family. This means that progression can be transferred from PS3 to PS4, but not from PS3 to Xbox One.
