We did spend some time with the Dell Ultrasharp 27” 5K monitor earlier this September, and came away reasonably impressed. However, the monitor did not yet go up for sale to the masses, and Dell has just revealed additional information concerning this upcoming monitor. What makes the Dell UltraSharp 27 monitor all the most special would be the fact that this happens to be the first display in the world that sports Ultra HD 5K resolution (5120 x 2880 pixels), and it is touted to be a game-changer where those involved in creative work are concerned.
Just how much more impressed will your eyeballs be with Ultra HD 5K resolution? It is the equivalent of four times the resolution of QHD, and is seven times the resolution of Full HD, now how about that? In other words, photographers as well as different creative customers who need to work using the highest possible resolution will be able to optimize their efforts, and view as well as control the invented imagery at a level of detail never experienced before prior to using this monitor.
It will feature half a dozen USB ports as well as a single media card reader so that it can hook up to a slew of other peripherals without missing a beat. The pre-order for the Dell UltraSharp 27” 5K Monitor will kick off this November 13, and shipping is set to commence this December 18, making it arrive before Christmas. [Press Release]
