A report from the Chinese media has revealed that Blizzard has recently won a lawsuit against Unico Interactive for making a Hearthstone clone called “Crouching Dragon Legends”, which as you can see in the image above looks like they simply lifted the design of the game, gave it a new name and color scheme and called it a day.
The report claims that Blizzard had won the lawsuit as the courts had ordered Unico to pay them $1.6 million in damages. However according to Unico, they claim that they have not received any such documentation from the Shanghai courts and refuting the claims that they have been ordered to pay Blizzard any damages.
The lawsuit was originally filed back in January with regards to copyright violations with Blizzard reportedly winning the lawsuit last Friday. Unico has since been removed from various app stores and the game and its servers have been put on hold since February earlier this year, with the company stating that they plan on reimbursing gamers with real-word cash, items, and in-game currency for its future games.
