With Apple owning Beats now, does that mean that future Beats headphones will be released with Apple’s brand on it? Well according to a recent FCC filing as spotted by the folks at 9to5Mac, it certainly does seem to be that case. According to 9to5Mac, they have recently spotted at the FCC an upcoming pair of headphones from Beats.
Apparently this will be the successor to the Beats Solo2 headphones which were pretty well-received, despite what you might say about the Beats brand. However with its successor and per its FCC filing, it looks like these pair of headphones will be of the wireless variety and will pair with smartphones/tablets via Bluetooth 4.0.
Unfortunately apart from the wireless option, not much else was revealed about the headphones. The FCC filing lists Apple as the creator and the tester of the product, and some of the accompanying images revealed Apple’s logo stamped onto the packaging of the product, although we’re sure that it will probably still use the Beats brand, it’s just that Apple’s name could be co-branded alongside it for now.
No word on when Apple plans on announcing the new Beats headphones, but given that it was recently spotted at the FCC, we can only assume that it shouldn’t be too long, so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
