Companion apps for video games are a great idea as this allows gamers to interact with the game beyond the console or PC that they are playing it on. Sometimes these companion apps offer up more story and background information, and sometimes they act as a handy tool to help navigate the game with.
Well the good news is that if you had pre-ordered Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity, you might be pleased to learn that the developers have recently released a companion app for the game for both iOS and Android devices, so if you’re looking for a way to enhance your gaming experience, head on over to the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store for the download.
As it stands the app itself is pretty useless since the game has yet to be released, but when it does, it will allow gamers a better way of navigating the game. The app will provide gamers with a 3D map of Paris that should make it easier for gamers to find their way around via a separate screen, as opposed to having to constantly pull up the map.
The app will also provide gamers with extra information as well as tips and tutorials. It will also come with heatmaps that will show how other gamers might have made their way around the game which could come in handy if you’re stuck. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released on the 11th of November for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.
