Apps Being Designed For Apple Watch
While the Apple Watch has not quite received a concrete release date for the masses just yet, and neither do we know anything else about its battery life, this does not mean that there will be no interest in this piece of wearable technology when it is made available. Chances are, it might spark off a smartwatch frenzy, just like how the iPhone did for the smartphone market. Having said that, what is the whole point of having fantastic looking hardware when there are no apps running on it? It would be akin to a Ferrari running without fuel. Hence, we have word that developers are starting to work on apps for the Apple Watch.
Developers can now start to work on WatchKit apps prior to the mass availability of Apple Watch, where innovative WatchKit apps, actionable notifications and Glances can be enjoyed. iOS 8.2 beta SDK would enable developers to make use of the WatchKit so that they might come up with the next breakthrough new app, in addition to Glances and other actionable notifications which were specially designed for the Apple Watch interface, alongside new technologies like Force Touch, Digital Crown and Taptic Engine.
The iOS 8.2 SDK beta that includes the WatchKit is now available for iOS Developer Program members here. [Press Release]
