Apple has just issued their very first developer beta for iOS 8.1.1, which so happens to be the upcoming point release for their very own mobile operating system. iOS 8.1.1 beta has been classified as build 12B432, and with this particular beta update, Apple will introduce to it a range of bug fixes as well as performance improvements to mobile operating system that currently plies its trade on both the iPhone and iPad OS.
An item of note – the display of blood glucose data has been disabled for the moment when it comes to the Health app, since Apple continues to iron out whatever kinks that are there while increasing the compatibility list with devices that show off the metric in mmol/L. Right now, the Health app does not enable one to input data manually using that particular unit of measurement, hence its removal is there to prevent any confusion from happening.
As a fix is in the pipeline, third-party developers are still able to gain access to the the APIs, so fret not. Hopefully iOS 8.1.1 will arrive shortly after the developer beta version hits, and with it will be a fair number of stability updates and the ilk. Are you looking forward to it yourself?
