Android 5.0 For Nexus 4 Has Begun Rolling Out To Users

So earlier we reported that the Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for the Nexus 4 had been published online. What this means is that Nexus 4 owners can go ahead and download the update and flash it to their phone. It’s not a terribly complicated process, but it can be admittedly daunting for newbies.

Well if you preferred to wait it out for the official OTA update, you’re in luck because according to various reports, it seems that the Android 5.0 update for the Nexus 4 has already begun to roll out to the masses. The update weighs in around 400MB so you should probably find yourself a stable and fast WiFi connect, lest you eat into your data cap.

It should also be noted that you will need at least 500MB of free space on your phone in order to install it, so perhaps it’s time to start clearing up those photos and videos and apps that you might no longer need, especially if you’re a little hard up on storage. The update is being pushed out in stages and is staggered, as we would have expected.

This means that you might not get or see the notification that there is an update ready to be installed. However if you can remain patient, we expect that it will eventually get around to you.
