Nintendo of Japan has confirmed, “Amiibo can only store data for one read/write compatible game at a time. If you wish to use the data from other read/write compatible software, please erase the data in the ‘Amiibo settings’ section of the Wii U settings menu.”
There you have it, which makes us wonder whether it is viable to continue down in this road for the long term. Thankfully, the seemingly lack of data storage space on the amiibo figurine for multiple games at the same time does not mean that you are unable to use your amiibo to unlock the likes of bonuses in other games. Now that is certainly a relief, would you not say so? Which kind of game genre do you think that amiibo figurines will thrive in?
