So it would seem that the rumors regarding the Sony Xperia Z4 are starting to heat up. Given Sony’s habit for announcing new phones early in the year, we can only assume that this will not change with the company’s next flagship handset. In fact Sony recently confirmed they would be hosting a press conference during CES 2015 in which we can only assume that the Xperia Z4 will be announced.
That being said, the first leaks of the handset have started to make their rounds, thanks to a recent post by Future Supplier who has posted alleged photos of the Xperia Z4’s touch digitizer on their blog. Upon first glance it looks like Sony hasn’t made much changes to the size of the Xperia Z4’s display.
Earlier rumors hinted at a 5.5-inch display but based on the comparison photos between the Xperia Z4 and the Xperia Z3, we’re probably looking at a 5.2-inch display. The photos also reveal that Sony could be following in the footsteps of the Xperia Z2’s stereo speaker placement, and based on the photos, the ambient light/proximity sensors and front-facing camera have switched places.
There’s no way of telling if these photos are the real deal, but if they are, they can certainly help clue us in as to what we might be able to expect from Sony’s next phone, which could very well be their only flagship for 2015 if the rumors are to be believed.
