xbox oneWhen the Xbox One was launched, many were surprised by Microsoft’s decision to price it a good $100 more than the Sony PlayStation 4 which many had considered to be the Xbox One’s direct competitor as far as consoles are concerned. Microsoft had initially defended their decision, but ultimately reduced the price to match the PS4 later on by removing the Kinect.

Well the good news is that if you thought that the Xbox One was still expensive and that its price wasn’t compelling enough, how does another $50 off sound to you? Well if you like that idea, you might be pleased to learn that Microsoft has recently announced that they will be discounting the Xbox One by a further $50.

Unfortunately this is only a temporary reduction in price and is meant to help Microsoft generate some sales during the Christmas holiday season. The console will now be priced at a slightly more affordable $350 and its offer is expected to launch come 2nd of November and will be valid all the way until the 3rd of January, so it’ll be good for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

The reduction in price is also applicable to bundles, such as the recently announced Assassin’s Creed bundle which will include Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Unfortunately there is no mention of other markets where the price reduction could be applied, like in Europe, but we’ll keep an ear out anyway and update you guys accordingly.
