Will Motorola’s Nexus X be your next Android smartphone? Well if you had your eye on the device especially after its rumored specs has made it extremely compelling, you might be interested to learn that the Nexus X has been rumored for a launch later this month. This is according to a report from The Wall Street Journal who claims that the handset could be due for a launch sometime in October.
This seems to line up with earlier rumors that have suggested that Google/Motorola would officially announce the device this month. The report also goes on to state that Google will be launching Android L alongside the handset as well, which we guess isn’t too surprising as most Nexus devices do come preloaded with the latest build of Android.
The Nexus X, if the rumors are true, is definitely an exciting phone to look forward to. It is also possible the most powerful Nexus handset to date. It is rumored to feature a 5.9-inch display with a QHD resolution, ultimately putting it head and shoulders above most competing Android handset.
It is also said to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and will come with 3GB of RAM, a 3,200mAh battery, and a 12MP rear-facing camera. Now while megapixels aren’t necessarily everything, we would have expected a bit more, but then again these are rumors so hopefully we will hear differently. In any case no specific date on when the phone will be announced, but we will keep our eyes peeled for more information.
