While Blizzard’s World of Warcraft subscriber base might not be what it used to, the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor will no doubt be able to lure inactive players back to the game who might be interested in checking out what the game has to offer. Now we know that the expansion will be officially released on the 13th of November, but gamers will be pleased to learn that the expansion’s pre-patch will be released on the 14th of October.
This will essentially upgrade the game to version 6.0.2 and will lay the groundwork for the upcoming expansion, as well as introduce a host of changes and new features to the game. The update will be sized a whopping 8GB so gamers will want to make sure that they have enough storage on their computer before downloading it.
Now the good news is that there will be a world event that will be taking place that is related to the game. This involves the Iron Horde making their way onto Azeroth through the Dark Portal. Gamers who are interested in participating in helping fend off the legion can do so once the patch goes live.
The pre-patch will also introduce an update to the character models in the game, as we have covered in the past. This is a long overdue update and one that we’re sure many gamers are looking forward to, although we should note that some races like the Blood Elves will have their models updated at a later date. So, who’s excited for patch 6.0.2?
