BlackBerry’s new flagship smartphone was released about a week back. It is off to a good start as the company was able to sell more than 200,000 units. The Passport was quickly sold out after release even though its only available in one color option right now: black. The company had already confirmed previously that it would be available in white as well. Customers who have been waiting for the white BlackBerry Passport may very well have to wait until November.
During its event the company did not say exactly when the white model will be released. Nevertheless that doesn’t seem to have stopped those who were anxiously waiting for this device to go on sale.
According to N4BB which claims to have spoken with people “close to the situation” the white BlackBerry Passport will be released to the public some time next month. Still a confirmed release date has not been mentioned and BlackBerry itself is tightlipped on the matter. There’s speculation that it may be released around the same time the BlackBerry Classic hits the market, which is also due this November.
So far BlackBerry has not commented on this report so there’s no official confirmation as yet regarding white Passport release in November. We’ll have to wait and see if it really does come out next month.
