We have seen the app catalog for Xbox One grown gradually over the past couple of months and today yet another addition has been made to the list of apps that are available now for Microsoft’s next-generation console. Twitter-owned Vine is a popular online service in which users can share six-second video clips. Its apps are largely limited to mobile devices but now Vine comes to the TV thanks to the app that has been released for Xbox One.
Vine is the home of many creative geniuses who make some really interesting and entertaining six second clips, which play in constant loops. There are music covers, news updates and great moments from sports to be found on Vine and now all of that six-second content can be accessed through the Xbox One.
This happens to be the first Vine viewing experience that has been built from the ground up for TV. The app is available now for Xbox Live members and it can be controlled through Kinect voice or gesture control for playing, pausing and searching Vines.
The app lists popular channels as well which include Music & Dance, Comedy and Art. Vine for Xbox One can be snapped next to games, TV or other entertainment applications so you can watch these clips even while you do something completely different.
