We did bring you word that the Sony Smartwatch 3 has already appeared over on the Google Play Store, but here we are with word that Verizon Wireless is also offering one of the latest smartwatches from Sony, the Sony Smartwatch 3, for pre-order. In fact, the Sony Smartwatch 3 happens to be the first smartwatch from Sony that will boast of the Android Wear operating system, and it also happens to be the very first Android Wear smartwatch that sports built-in GPS capability, enabling one to make use of Google’s latest location tracking features – even when you do not happen to carry a smartphone around with you at that moment.
If you are more than happy to place a pre-order for the Sony Smartwatch 3 from Verizon Wireless, then you will be able to do so for $250 a pop. Here is a little bit of a refresher course for you to think things through before making that financial commitment – the Sony Smartwatch 3 will feature a 1.6” transflective LCD display at 320 x 320 pixels resolution, which Sony claims it will be sunlight readable. Apart from that, underneath the hood you will find a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor running proceedings, with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory keeping it company. Connectivity options will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, while there is also an ambient light sensor, motion sensor, and an IP68 water and dust-resistant case thrown into the mix. Any takers?
