[CEATEC 2014] It does look as though Sharp is doing something right where their smartphones are concerned – and one of the particular models that has gotten plenty of love on the CEATEC 2014 showfloor would be the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01G, which has been given the nickname of the ‘Heart’ phone. Launched alongside Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01G will feature a 5.5” IGZO 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution) display which needs to be seen in order to be believed.
Other hardware specifications of the Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-01G include 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory which can be further expanded through a microSD memory card slot just in case you find it to be insufficient for your needs, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset that runs at 2.3GHz, a 13.1-megapixel camera at the back that has a CMOS sensor, accompanied by an LED flash and 4K video recording capability. Selfie lovers would not mind taking advantage of the 2.1-megapixel camera in front, and connectivity options will include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, and GPS with GLONASS.
Expect Android 4.4 KitKat to arrive with the Aquos Zeta SH-01G right out of the box, and the 2,800mAh battery ought to keep it going throughout the entire day. Those living in Japan who would want to pick this up will be able to do so in Indigo, White, Cyan and Coral color options as it hits the market later this November. Just how thin is the bezel? It is thin enough for me although it does come close to the Aquos Crystal X.
