Now the good news is that while Sharp phones are typically reserved for the Japanese market, it looks like Sharp and a couple of US carriers have decided to bring the phone stateside. The handset will be sold via Boost Mobile and Sprint’s prepaid service starting today where it will be priced at $150, while Sprint will also be offering the phone albeit next Friday where it will be priced at $240.
In any case both these prices are without a contract so safe to say it is pretty affordable. In the meantime what can consumers expect from the handset? Well for starters, Sharp has packed a 5-inch HD display on the phone. Granted it’s not Full HD or QHD, but with a near-borderless display, perhaps they could be forgiven.
The phone will also feature audio technology from Harman Kardon that will help enhance the listening experience, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Not the most powerful phone, but certainly a beautiful one.
