The Resident Evil franchise is one that is loved by gamers around the world, so much so that several movies about the game and its story have been made. Now for those who are true fans of the franchise, you guys probably know that the next Resident Evil movie will probably be its last, at least for the forseeable future.
Well the good news is that if you didn’t want the fun to end, you might be interested to learn that according to a report from Variety, it seems that a TV series based on the Resident Evil franchise will be made. The TV series will apparently be made by German production house Constantin Film.
Unfortunately it was not mentioned as to when the TV series will be released, who will be starring, who will be directing, and whether it will be canon to the Resident Evil franchise or if it will based on the game’s actual story. Given that there have been a handful of undead-related shows on TV, like The Walking Dead, safe to say that the Resident Evil series could be up against some stiff competition.
In any case we will be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information regarding the TV series, but in the meantime what do you guys think? Are you excited at the idea of being able to catch a new Resident Evil episode on a weekly basis in the future?
