Most of the modern day hardware tend to come with the ability to have its software updated, so to speak, in order to keep up with the times. While majority of the time would see the new software version deliver a whole lot of improvements, this does not mean it is always advisable to make a beeline for the latest update all the time. Take the Sony PS4 for instance – it seems that after installing System Update 2.0, some users have reported issues of their PS4 refusing to hook up to PSN or to even turn on after Rest Mode.
More than just a handful of Sony PS4 owners have reported about the issues as mentioned above, which means one ought to be more careful concerning the recent release of System Update 2.0. Do bear in mind that this particular issue does not seem to affect everyone, although this is also no guarantee that you will not be affected yourself. Some users have vented their frustrations online, saying stuff like “Yep, I can’t turn my PS4 on after putting it in rest mode. Booooo” as well as “Also stuck in rest mode. :-( I hope this doesn’t continue.”
Hopefully Sony will be able to sort things out as soon as possible, otherwise it would definitely be a shame.
