However according to a rumor, it seems that the wait could soon be over. The rumors are suggesting that LG could be planning to launch an Odin-powered smartphone later this month. Unfortunately the rumors are also claiming that the device will not be a high-end smartphone, but rather it will end up being a mid-range handset.
The handset in question is rumored to be a variation of the LG G3 and thus will fall under the “G3” family of smartphones, although we’re not sure what exactly about it that makes it qualify for that branding – a laser autofocus system for its camera, perhaps? LG’s Odin chipset has been rumored about for a while now.
Many had speculated it would debut with the LG G3, although safe to say that did not happen. It is unclear if this rumored Odin-powered smartphone will be released worldwide or if it could be limited to South Korea at the start, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for it.
