Nexus-X-benchmark-Geekbench-3-02We have heard the rumors that the upcoming Nexus X/Nexus 6 from Motorola could be due for a launch this month, although at this point in time there have been no invites sent out by Google or Motorola, so we guess as far as a release date is concerned, it’s still pretty much up in the air at the moment.

That being said, it seems that the handset has recently made a stop by GeekBench (via PhoneArena) where it was benchmarked, and according to the results, it looks like it is performing pretty well! We should point out that benchmark scores can always be faked and that it is possible that the hardware being tested might not be the final product, but it’s still a relatively good indicator of what to expect.

Now according to the results, the Nexus X “Shamu” managed to score 1,040 on the single-core tests, but when it came to the multi-core tests, the handset managed to blow past the competition like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the iPhone 6, the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Nexus 5, and so on.

According to the rumors, the Nexus X will be the biggest Nexus handset from Google to date at 5.9-inches. It is said to sport a QHD display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM and will most likely come with Android L preinstalled. In any case we have to admit that its GeekBench results appear to be very promising, but whether or not this is its final hardware remains to be seen.
