The folks at Droid-Life have reached out to Verizon to confirm if the handset would indeed be available via the carrier, in which the carrier answered in the affirmative. Unfortunately apart from confirming that the handset would be available, other details such as pricing or availability has yet to be determined.
Unfortunately it seems that the Nexus 6 will not be following in the footsteps of other Nexus devices which Google has subsidized. Instead the handset will be priced at a whopping $650 off-contract, but then again we suppose this is a fair price given the features of the phone, which for those who are unfamiliar will come with a 6-inch QHD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood clocked at 2.7GHz.
The phone will also be accompanied by a 13MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization, a 2MP front-facing camera, stereo speakers, and a 3,220mAH battery that will be supported by Motorola’s Turbo Charger that promises speedy charging.
