On October 16th Apple is going to take the stage to unveil new products. We expect to see new iPads, a new iMac and the public release of OS X Yosemite. Even though the event date has been officially confirmed Apple hasn’t revealed when the new products will hit the market. A report today claims that at least the new Apple iPad will be released on October 24th. The information comes from a source which has reportedly been correct in the past.
According to the source Apple has already started shipping “mass quantities” of this new product to the U.S. It hasn’t been revealed exactly what product this is but the scribe believes it may either be the iPad Air 2, the next generation iPad mini with Retina display or both of them.
The October 24th release date for the new Apple iPad does make sense since usually the company releases its new products a week after they’re shown off to the world. It has stuck with this strategy for iPhones and iPads over the past couple of years so it wouldn’t really surprise anyone if this happened once again.
Releasing these products on October 24th will also give Apple the full opportunity to capture the holiday shopping craze, and it is no secret that iPads are some of the most sought after tablets in the market.
