Motorola Droid Turbo Variant Spotted At The FCC With AT&T’s Bands

For a long time now, the Motorola Droid series of Android smartphones have typically been an exclusive to Verizon. However it seems that with the upcoming Motorola Droid Turbo, it looks like it could be making its way onto AT&T’s network as well. This is thanks to a recent sighting at the FCC in which the device was spotted with AT&T’s bands.

However it is possible that the handset could be a variant of the Droid Turbo dubbed the Moto Maxx that has been rumored about for sometime now. The filing revealed the phone’s physical appearance and hardware, both of which appeared to similar to the Droid Turbo, which seems to corroborate the speculation.

Motorola had filed for the trademark to the Moto Maxx name a few months ago, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the devices were the same. Assuming that is the case, what might we be able to expect from the Droid Turbo/Moto Maxx? Well in case you missed our coverage, one of the features of the Droid Turbo/Moto Maxx would be its fast charging.

The phone has also been rumored to sport a 5.2-inch QHD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There will be a 20MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. No word on when we might be able to expect the device, but with its sighting at the FCC, we guess we won’t have to wait too long.
