Motorola’s much awaited smartwatch, the Moto 360, was finally released last month and it soon sold out after going on sale. A couple of days back the company tweeted that the smartwatch was back in stock again for a limited time. It appears to be doing well at this point in time, no doubt aided by the fact that many have loved its round design. Some people did have concerns about its battery life and Motorola has done its bit to further improve Moto 360 battery life through a software update.

Last week Motorola released a new software update for the Moto 360. When it ultimately landed on the device users started noticing improvements in the battery life, many expressed their satisfaction over on social media, there were initial reports pointing towards the improvement.

Folks over at Droid-life have conducted some tests and have reached to the conclusion that prior to the update Moto 360 could only manage 10-12 hours of use with Ambient Mode on. After the update they’re seeing up to 15 hours of use with Ambient Mode. With the mode off some users have even claimed to stretch battery life up to nearly two days, which is great for a smartwatch.

Obviously smartwatches are limited by technology right now which is why battery life will remain a cause of concerns for customers. In a few years time when the technology progresses we’ll even less customers having to worry less about making the device last throughout the day, but in the meantime, any tweaks and make them last more will certainly be appreciated.
