Cloud storage is great and convenient if you want to be able to access your files while on the go without worrying about flash drives or external hard disks. However they can be pretty pricey especially if you a lot of data stored on it which means that you will need to buy additional storage that comes at a monthly subscription.
Well the good news is that if you’re an Office 365 subscriber, Microsoft has announced that all Office 365 Home, Personal, and University customers will be upgraded and will be getting unlimited OneDrive storage at no extra cost. As for business users, fret not because Microsoft has you covered as well.
However it seems that unlimited storage for business users will only be arriving in 2015, but in the meantime business users should already have access to 1TB of storage, which hopefully will be enough to tide them over until Microsoft rolls out the upgrades. Microsoft has been steadily increasing the storage they are giving to their customers.
Earlier this year, they gave 15GB of storage free to all users, and Office 365 users were upgraded to 1TB, but we guess now Microsoft has decided that unlimited is the way to go, especially with many cloud storage options available at the moment.
