Earlier this year, Konami released Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for consoles. The game since gone on to do pretty well for itself and has seen over 1 million copies shipped, although we can only imagine that the number has since risen since the report was made back in April.
For a game that supposedly can be completed in 2 hours, that is actually pretty impressive. So what about PC gamers? When can they get their hands on the game and see what all the fuss is about? Well the good news is that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes could be seeing a release via Steam on the 18th of December.
This is according to user reports on the NeoGAF forums (via CVG) who claimed to have heard from Russian sources who attended the IgroMir gaming exhibition. When a Konami UK spokesperson was reached out to, they were unable to confirm it. However assuming that the 18th of December release is accurate, we guess we will be hearing about it soon.
Back in August, the series’ creator Hideo Kojima confirmed that Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain would be making their way onto Steam, although Kojima did not specify a release date. In the meantime Phantom Pain has been pegged for a release in 2015 so the PC version will probably be launched then.
