The new tablets will also go up to 128GB of storage as Apple has done away with the 32GB option. On Apple’s website, it also mentions that the tablets are expected to begin shipping in the next 2-4 days, and some buyers have reported that Apple has promised deliveries to some of them (possibly those who pre-ordered early) by the 23rd of October, which is next Thursday.
Both tablets have been updated with new hardware and a new color option in gold, as well as the inclusion of Touch ID fingerprint sensors on both tablets which will help protect your tablet from being accessed by someone else; used to authenticate iTunes purchases; and will also be usable with Apple Pay.
The new iPads will be available in select markets at the start which includes the US, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (Wi-Fi models only), Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau (Wi-Fi models only), Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. It is expected to make its way into other markets in the coming months.
