HTC Desire 612 Officially Announced For Verizon

A few days ago, a certain HTC Desire 612 was spotted on Verizon’s website. It wasn’t exactly the most powerful Android handset we’ve seen, but we suppose it would appeal to those looking for a relatively inexpensive device. Well the good news is that Verizon has since officially announced the HTC Desire 612.

The handset appears to be an exclusive to Verizon and will be available for purchase come 9th of October where it will be free as long as customers are willing to sign a new two-year contract with the carrier. If you’re not too fussed about contracts, then it does seem like you will be getting an XLTE-enabled handset in a pretty good deal.

Now in terms of specs, the HTC Desire 612 will feature a 4.7-inch HD display. It will also sport the HTC BoomSound speakers which are typically found on HTC’s higher-end handsets like the HTC One M8, for example. The phone will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a bunch of filters and effects to brighten up your photos.

The good news for NFL fans is that according to Verizon, it seems that MORE Everything Plan subscribers will be given access to NFL Mobile for the entire 2014/2015 NFL season at no additional cost. So if you’re looking for a phone on the cheap, fast internet speeds, and access to the NFL on your mobile device, perhaps the HTC Desire 612 could be for you.
