Dyson is a company known for their rather unique household appliances, such as their vacuum cleaners and bladeless fans. Well if you’re after something similar to Dyson’s bladeless fans, you might be interested to learn that the company has recently unveiled a new humidifier system which is based on the design of the company’s bladeless fans and heaters, as you can see in the image above.
According to Dyson, their new humidifier system will introduce a three liter water reservoir that uses a piezoelectric transducer to help produce tiny water particles that will be introduced into the air, thus creating a humidifying effect for those times when the weather is particularly dry, such as the winter.
Now you’re probably wondering what so different about Dyson’s offering, save for the design, compared to other manufacturers? Well the thing is with normal water reservoirs, germs and bacteria can make their way in there. However with Dyson’s technology, the water will be introduced to ultraviolet light twice to help kill 99.9% of the bacteria in the water.
This means that the airborne water particles have a lesser chance of making you sick. Unfortunately if you had your eye on the device for use this winter, you’d be out of luck as Dyson only has plans to release it in Japan first followed by the US in 2015.
