In case the Ashton Kutcher starring movie on Steve Jobs was not your cup of tea rest assured that there is another project in the works. Aaron Sorkin, of The West Wing, The Social Network and The Newsroom fame, has written a movie based on some of the most important moments in the professional life of deceased Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. There were rumors about the actor who will be tapped to play Jobs but now confirmation has come from Sorkin himself. Christian Bale will play Steve Jobs in the biopic.
One really does not need to expand upon Bale’s acting prowess as it pretty much speaks for itself. His portrayal of the Apple co-founder will certainly play a major part in pulling people to theaters when the movie is finally released.
Sorkin confirmed that Bale has been locked in for the role during an interview with Bloomberg. He also revealed that Bale didn’t even have to audition for the role so clearly the team behind this project is convinced of his ability to play Jobs as per their expectations, but obviously the final judge of that will be the public that goes to see the movie.
The screenplay by Aaron Sorkin is based on the official autobiography of Steve Jobs that was penned by Walter Isaacson. According to reports the movie will basically consist of three lengthy scenes that depict three of the most crucial keynote speeches that Jobs gave during his career.
It has not been confirmed as yet when filming will begin and when we can expect this biopic to hit the screens.
