Boost Mobile, Sprint’s prepaid brand, has announced today that it will start selling the two new iPhones on October 17th. Interested customers will be able to purchase the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from Boost Mobile for $100 off the usual retail price, which is without a doubt an incentive for those who don’t want to be stuck with a conventional service contract.
Today Boost Mobile has confirmed the pricing and configuration for all iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models that it will be selling come October 17th, which is the same day on which Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 goes on sale across all major U.S. carriers.
16GB, 64GB and 128GB models of the iPhone 6 will be available for $549.99, $649.99 and $749.99 respectively. Customers will be able to purchase 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models of the iPhone 6 Plus for $649.99, $749.99 and $849.99 respectively from Boost Mobile.
Last year when the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were released Boost offered both with a $100 discount as opposed to the usual retail price and it is sticking with that strategy this time around as well. Last year’s models are still being sold by the prepaid service provider, with 16GB iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models going for $449.99 and $349.99 respectively.
Once customers have purchased a unit from Boost Mobile by paying for the device upfront they then have the luxury to pay for the cellular service month-to-month, and they’re not bound by any contracts nor do they have to make a payment towards the cost of the device every single month.
