According to Hazzikostas, “We definitely want to start, and have started, thinking ahead already to what the next expansion act is going to be. We are trying to set up our storylines and our villains a little bit better because it’s important more now than ever, now that we’ve run through the core of the Warcraft 3 lore.”
It’s actually interesting to see Blizzard still remain so dedicated to World of Warcraft, despite the game reaching its 10 years anniversary and despite the fact that subscribers are not what they used to it. In fact Hazzikostas revealed last week that he expects World of Warcraft to continue for another ten years.
Could Blizzard’s interest in maintaining the World of Warcraft MMORPG a way for the company to transition into the Warcraft 4 RTS? The last we heard from the Warcraft RTS franchise was back in 2003 when the Frozen Throne expansion was released, so shouldn’t it be about time we see a sequel? What do you guys think?
