The report states that come next year, Apple could integrate Beats Music into iTunes. In some way this isn’t too surprising given that Ian Rogers, the person who helped build Beats Music, is now in charge of iTunes Radio. There have also been talks about Apple possibly doing something new with Beats Music as opposed to killing off the service entirely.
We have also heard the rumors that Apple is working with the record labels to help reduce the subscription price of Beats Music to make it a more attractive option to better compete with other services out there, such as Spotify who has recently launched their own Family Plan that will allow multiple users to subscribe to their Premium service at a lower rate.
As it stands, Beats Music exists as a completely separate product despite it being owned by Apple, but if Apple were to integrate Beats Music into iTunes, it would be one way of Apple to fold the service into its other products and make it synonymous with Apple’s other products and services, but what do you guys have to say about that?
