padfone x miniAre you in the market for a new tablet/smartphone hybrid device? Well if you are, you might be interested to learn that AT&T and ASUS have announced that they will be bringing the PadFone X mini onto AT&T’s network come 24th of October. For those wondering about the device, this is essentially a smaller version of the PadFone X.

What this means is that instead of a 5-inch smartphone display coupled with a 9-inch tablet display, the mini version will sport a 4.5-inch display for the smartphone and a 7-inch display for the tablet. It will also be powered by an Intel processor so if you’ve always been curious about Intel-powered phones, this might be of interest to you.

According to the specs, the PadFone X mini will sport 1GB of RAM and will support up to 64GB of onboard storage, thanks to its built-in microSD card. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat and will feature a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and the tablet module will sport a 1MP front-facing camera.

It will also come with a 2,060mAh battery for the smartphone, which according to ASUS is good for about 15.8 hours of use, and will last as long as 28.3 hours when docked into the tablet. The ASUS PadFone X mini will be priced at $199.99 with no annual contract via AT&T’s GoPhone service.
