One of the rumors regarding the upcoming Nexus X “Shamu” from Motorola is that the handset will feature a 5.9-inch display. Given that Google has gotten their partners to increase the screen size with every Nexus release, with a 5-inch display for the Nexus 5, we guess a near-6-inch display for the Nexus 6 sort of makes sense.
Well if you were hoping that the rumors weren’t true, you might be disappointed thanks to new benchmark sightings at CPU-Z. According to the benchmarks, it basically confirms the handset’s resolution to be that of the QHD variety. It also revealed that the phone will come with 3GB of RAM under the hood and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.65GHz.
However the benchmark from CPU-Z does not reveal anything new or additional, like its camera, battery size, and so on. For those who might have missed our coverage with the Nexus X, it has been rumored that the phone will come with a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and will house a decently sized 3,200mAh battery.
Unfortunately we have no idea when Google will be officially unveiling the Nexus X, although we have to wonder if this could be revealed alongside the HTC Nexus 9 tablet which has been rumored for a 16th of October launch, which coincidentally is also when Apple plans on announcing new tablets.
