Tomorrow Apple is going to unveil a handful of new products at its event. While the company itself has not confirmed anything we expect to see new iPads and a new iMac. There have been conflicting rumors and reports about a 12-inch Retina MacBook Air. Yesterday a report claimed that this notebook won’t be making an appearance at the event. Today a conflicting report has been published which claims that Apple is going to announce this product tomorrow.
Rumors about the 12-inch Retina MacBook Air have been floating around for quite some time now. It is believed that this device will be powered by Intel’s latest processors and that it will feature a fanless design which will make it thinner and lighter than all of its predecessors.
According to DigiTimes shipments of this product have already begun in small volumes, with large volume shipments expected to begin next month, the report cites sources in Taiwan-based supply chain.
It also claims that Apple will use laser cutting and “unique embedded technologies” to make the rear company logo look “3D-like.” Apparently this logo will be featured in all of the company’s products from next year onwards, starting with the upcoming iMac.
It must be said though that this scribe has a hit or miss track record when it comes to Apple products so do take this with a grain of salt. Only Apple knows so far if its going to unveil a new MacBook tomorrow and fortunately we don’t have to wait for too long to find out for sure.
