More often than not, whenever a brand new software update is released, most of the users of said device(s) affected by the update would be impatient to obtain it, as chances are we will see new features introduced as well as old bugs squashed. Well, Microsoft’s most recent effort at updating the Xbox Music app has resulted in it appearing over in the Windows Phone Store. For those who were hoping for a brand new update that comes jam packed with features, sorry to burst your bubble, but that is simply not going to be the case.
No new features would make up part of this latest release, where the version number has been nudged to touch 2.6.288, up from the previous version 2.6.224. In fact, with the previous update being introduced on August 27, that translates to just three weeks ago, which means there should not be anything major that accompanies this particular update.
Microsoft did touch on what this update entails, saying, “Among other important bug fixes, version 2.6.288 prevents an unexpected app exit that could happen when playing music during collection sync! We hope this update makes your music listening just a little bit smoother!” If you have already downloaded this update, how has your experience been so far?
