One of the biggest titles of 2014 is finally making its way to Nintendo Wii U. Ubisoft Mexico jumped the gun on its Facebook page earlier today when it posted about the game’s release date and then pulled the post. An official confirmation has now been rolled out by Ubisoft reiterating the release date.
The release is going to take place in November. It had already been hinted a few weeks back that the title will land on the Wii U this November. The console’s GamePad will be used for looking at a “detailed and interactive” map of Chicago and it has also been confirmed that Off-TV play will be supported by Watch Dogs on Wii U.
Players should expect a slightly different experience on the Wii U. Dominic Guay, the senior producer, revealed back in March that Ubisoft Romania was independently working on the Wii U version of Watch Dogs, and that it was pondering over on how to best include the GamePad in the experience. The Wii U version was initially delayed so that the team could focus its resources “where they could have the broadest possible benefit.”
Ubisoft confirmed today that Watch Dogs release for Wii U is going to take place on November 18th in North America. Folks in Europe will have to wait until November 21st.
