So what is Project Widow, you ask? Well basically it is an online interactive guided tour of Paris in the 18th century, which is the period in which Assassin’s Creed Unity will be taking place. Players will be led around the city and the information and history about the sights they see will be narrated by none other than Andy Serkis, famous for his roles in movies like Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Planet of the Apes.
The tour will allow visitors to witness key moments in the French Revolution, as well as allow them to discover hotspots, locate hidden art and video content, and will prizes and exclusives for themselves. Created in partnership with Biff New Media and Villain and Co, Jodie Brock who is the creative director at Villain and Co was quoted as saying, “We wanted to inspire gamers by breathing vivid bloody life into 18th century Revolutionary Paris, and allow them to explore its secrets, generating even more excitement about the game.”
