The Toshiba Encore Mini, a tablet which was first announced at the recently concluded IFA 2014 conference at Berlin, Germany, has finally hit the market, ready to arrive in the hands of many. It has been specially priced at $119.99 a pop, where the 7” Toshiba Encore Mini tablet will be powered by Windows 8.1 with Bing. This is the fully-featured version of the operating system after Microsoft decided to do away with the stifling OS licensing fees when it comes to devices that are no larger than 10”.
The new Toshiba Encore Mini can be purchased by folks like you and I over at the Microsoft Store, and heck, you have another 99 cents to play around with actually since the price has been stated as $119. The Toshiba Encore Mini will feature a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display, where it is powered by a quad-core 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735G processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot, a front-facing camera, a 2MP shooter, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, all of it crammed into a chassis that measures 11mm thin. It has a battery life that has been rated at 7.3 hours. Any takers for this particular entry level tablet?
