Update – A reader’s comment has pointed out to us that the Scribble Pen turned out to be a scam. We should point out that there are times that Kickstarter projects do turn out to be scams and that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This isn’t to say that the Mozbii is a scam, but you should probably be a bit wary should you decide to contribute to its campaign (or any other campaign for that matter).
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could not only draw realistically but paint in the colors realistically as well? Sometimes it can be a challenge to match certain colors as you would have to mix in the right color of paints, but here’s the good news for digital artists – the Mozbii. The Mozbii is basically a stylus that one can use with their smartphones or tablets.
While styluses are aplenty, what makes the Mozbii a little unique is the fact that it will be able to replicate just about any color. All you’d have to do is hold the stylus over a object whose color you wish to replicate and just like magic, it will be able to find that color for you! This will help artists create more unique paintings as well as more true-to-life paintings as well.
We should point out that the Mozbii is not the first of its kind. A few months ago we reported on a device called the Scribble Pen which pretty much offers similar functionality as well. The pen will be able to detect the colors that you want and can actually replicate it on paper, which we gues makes it a little more interesting.
The Mozbii is currently a Kickstarter project seeking funding, although at this time of posting it has managed to raise over $40,000, which is $10,000 more than its original goal of $30,000. If you’d like to learn more or pledge your support, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details!
