Some time in the middle of the previous month, we did learn that the Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL would be getting its very own limited edition bundle later when September 19 rolls around. In fact, an allegedly leaked (albeit unconfirmed) Walmart ad points to the release of a Super Smash Bros.-branded Nintendo 3DS XL later this month – in particular on September 19 as mentioned above. When approached, Nintendo of America took the common route by mentioning that it had “nothing to announce at this time” where a US-bound version of the limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL is concerned.
It was Nintendo of Europe that actually made the announcement concerning the red, black and white versions of the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS console some time last month where this limited edition version will roll out in Europe this coming October 3, where it will also arrive with a copy of the fighting game itself to help you get started right out of the box. Apart from that, we do know that Nintendo Japan will roll out a similarly styled handheld later this November, although it will feature the size of the New Nintendo 3DS LL.
Do take note that Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS will arrive this coming October 3rd.
