Shuttle, a name that is extremely familiar with those who happen to deal with SFF (Small Form Factor) computers, is back this time around with their latest XH81 and XH81V machines which will be made available to the European market. The two models happen to have a 3-litre capacity, which is extremely small, make no mistake about it. These Shuttle Barebones XH81 and XH81V will be based upon an Intel H81 Express chipset, and will feature a pair of SO-DIMM slots that can be equipped with up to 16GB RAM, while sporting an efficient heatpipe cooling with two 60 mm fans that will help channel waste heat straight to the outside so that whatever goes on within remains nice and cool – relatively speaking, of course.
The flat case measures 24cm x 20cm x 7.2cm and can carry up to a trio of drives, while sporting installation options for three 2.5″ HDD/SSD drives or alternatively two 2.5″ HDD/SSD drives in addition to an optical slimline drive. Not only that, there will be two Mini-PCIe 2.0 slots within for expansion purposes, alongside DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, RS 232 and 5.1 Audio capabilities. The asking price for the Shuttle Barebones XH81 and XH81V happen to be 169 Euros. Any takers?
