It has been a while since Samsung showed off the Galaxy Alpha, its new smartphone that touts a metal build. We had heard that the company is working on three new devices based on the same concept and all three are expected to be released by the end of this year. Specifications and features of these devices have been rumored multiple times now and today we get to see purported pictures of the entry-level device, the Samsung Galaxy A3, or SM-A300.
Pictures of the Samsung Galaxy A5 or SM-A500 have already appeared online over the past few days. The high-end model in this lineup will be the Galaxy A7 or SM-A700 though it may only be released in a few markets since Samsung would probably not want to cannibalize the sales of the Galaxy Alpha.
The photos we get to see today come courtesy of China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center. Galaxy A3 will reportedly have a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with 540×960 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz quadcore Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 5 megapixel front and 8 megapixel rear camera with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed.
No word on the pricing as yet but Samsung is likely to make an official announcement in the coming months, so stay tuned till then.
