We first heard about a new title in the Resident Evil franchise last month when some box art was leaked online. It was formally confirmed earlier this month that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 release is going to take place on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC. Some evidence has surfaced online which may point to a possible Resident Evil: Revelations 2 release on PlayStation Vita.
Several forum postings revealed today that Japanese gamers had spotted references to unreleased titles in PlayStation’s Japan’s Tokyo Game Show website. The titles included Until Dawn, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Grand Theft Auto 5 as well as Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for the PlayStation Vita.
When Capcom was asked about this possibility it replied that so far this title has only been confirmed for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. “No other announcements have been made,” was the official response from Capcom.
As it stands the title is going to be released for the aforementioned consoles early next year, we have not been provided with a concrete release date as yet. There’s no confirmation about a PS Vita release, perhaps it might be announced at Tokyo Game Show, luckily there’s only couple of days left until that event kicks off so the truth will be out soon enough.
